All told, new car purchases accounted for 79 percent of overall auto sales to Lincolnshire residents, totaling 62 of the 78 overall auto sales in the month. Nissan and Jeep followed Toyota to round out the list of the top three auto brands bought new by residents in May. Residents purchased a total of 11 new Toyota vehicles, eight new Nissan cars, and six new Jeep vehicles in the month.
Used auto purchases accounted for 21 percent of auto sales, bringing in 16 of the 78 overall auto sales. Honda led the way as the most popular used auto brand, totaling five sales. Porsche and Jaguar also made a good showing in the used car sales category, with one and one sales, respectively.
Over the course of May, 100 percent of purchases by Lincolnshire residents came through a local dealer, while 0 percent were private party transactions. The 100 percent originating from auto dealerships translated to 78 total dealer sales in the month.
Audi Exchange led the way with one sales of used cars to Lincolnshire residents in May, trailed by Acura Libertyville (one sales) and Bill Stasek Chevrolet (one). The top three auto dealerships selling new cars to Lincolnshire residents in the month were Liberty Import Center with six sales, Audi Exchange (six sales) and Autohaus on Edens (six).
