All told, new car purchases accounted for 66 percent of overall auto sales to Lincolnshire residents, totaling 75 of the 114 overall auto sales in the month. Mercedes-Benz and Honda followed Toyota to round out the list of the top three auto brands bought new by residents in June. Residents of Lincolnshire bought 15 new Toyota vehicles in the month, and also purchased nine new Mercedes-Benz cars, and seven new Honda vehicles.
Used car sales brought in 34 percent of overall auto sales, bringing in 39 of the 114 overall car sales. Nissan was the most popular brand bought used, totaling four sales. Lexus and Cadillac also made a good showing in the used car sales category, with four and three sales, respectively.
Over the course of June, 84 percent of purchases by Lincolnshire residents came through a local dealer, while 16 percent were private party transactions. The 84 percent originating from local car dealers translated to 96 overall dealership sales in the month.
Liberty Import Center (two sales) sold more used cars to Lincolnshire residents in June than any other dealer, followed by Audi Exchange (two) and Woodfield Lexus (two). The three most popular dealers of new cars to Lincolnshire residents in the month were Autohaus on Edens with eight sales, Libertyville Toyota (six sales) and Loeber Motors (six).
