Overall car sales in Lincolnshire increased 46 percent in June on a month-over-month basis, as Lincolnshire residents bought 36 more cars and trucks in June than in the previous month.
In the month of June, Toyota was the top selling make to Lincolnshire residents with a total of 17 sales. The 17 Toyota sales in the month broke down into 15 new and two used. Mercedes-Benz and Honda rounded out the top three makes in overall sales (both new and used) with 12 and 10 sales, respectively, during the month.
One month prior, Toyota led the way in overall auto purchases by Lincolnshire residents with a total of 11 sales, followed by Honda (eight sales) and Nissan (eight).
The share of all auto sales to Lincolnshire residents going through local auto dealerships stood at 84 percent in June. This share was at 100 percent the previous month. The 84 percent share of sales in June translated to 96 total dealer sales (and 18 private sales), compared with 78 total dealer sales (zero private) the month before.
Auto dealers that sold the most vehicles to Lincolnshire residents in June included Autohaus on Edens, Libertyville Toyota and Loeber Motors. The month before, Autohaus on Edens, Audi Exchange and Liberty Import Center comprised the list of top three auto dealerships selling to Lincolnshire residents.
Of the 114 total auto sales in June, 66 percent were new vehicles and 34 percent were used vehicles. The most popular make bought used in the month was Nissan, while the top new make was Toyota. The previous month, residents purchased used cars and trucks 21 percent of the time. Honda was the top auto brand bought used that month, while Toyota was the top auto make purchased new.
