All told, new car purchases accounted for 48 percent of overall auto sales to Buffalo Grove residents, totaling 56 of the 116 overall auto sales in the month. Following Honda as the most popular brands bought new by residents in February were Jeep and Ford. Residents purchased a total of 11 new Honda vehicles, five new Jeep cars, and five new Ford vehicles in the month.
Used auto purchases accounted for 52 percent of auto sales, bringing in 60 of the 116 overall auto sales. Honda was the most popular brand bought used, totaling nine sales. Toyota and Chevrolet came in second and third, respectively, in the used car sales category, with nine and six sales.
Over the course of the month, local dealers accounted for 81 percent of overall car sales to Buffalo Grove residents, while private parties accounted for 19 percent of auto sales. The 81 percent originating from local car dealers translated to 94 overall dealership sales in the month.
Carmax Auto Superstores (three sales) sold more used cars to Buffalo Grove residents in February than any other dealer, followed by Fletcher Jones of Chicago (two) and Arlington Toyota (two). The three most popular dealers of new cars to Buffalo Grove residents in the month were Pauly Honda with seven sales, Autohaus on Edens (three sales) and Arlington Toyota (three).
